It is hard to believe 2022 is already coming to an end. While we’ve been in operation for over five decades, this has been a year of many firsts for StarVista, and we couldn’t have done it without you – our StarVista family. From new services to new faces, we continue to grow every year and expand our comprehensiveness of programs to address the unique mental health needs of our shared community.

Here’s to some of the year’s firsts:

• • 1st Mental Health Matters Walk event
  • 1st in-person Changing Lives event
  • 1st Chief Clinical Officer
  • 1st mental health awareness collaboration with law enforcement

Other updates from our agency include the nationally launched 988 crisis hotline number, which our Crisis Center began taking calls from in July. We were also grateful to be featured in Congresswoman Jackie Speier’s 988 press conference in August. In addition, we rebranded our programs by service departments rather than demographics, as many of our programs have expanded to support all ages in the county. Lastly, we celebrated another year of a Platinum Seal of Transparency from GuideStar/Candid for our reporting and public visibility of our practices.

To our incredible funders, donors, Board Members, and Visionaries, thank you for your partnership and for believing in our mission as wholeheartedly as we do. To our staff, interns, and volunteers, thank you for showing up every day for our community and using your expertise to help individuals of all ages change their lives for the better. To our incredible clients, thank you for trusting our team to support you on your unique journeys of health, wellness, and recovery and for inspiring our work in San Mateo County.
