Dear Friends,
I hope this message finds you well and thriving.
I am delighted to announce that our Kids Kamp was a success! This year, our Kids Kamp experience was held at the beautiful Camp Lodestar which is nestled in the Sierra foothills. This is the first in-person Kids Kamp getaway camp we’ve hosted since the COVID-19 pandemic, and we could not be more grateful. Kampers were treated to an array of wellness activities, including drawing, hiking, making s’mores, swimming, and more! Kampers also participated in wellness workshops to support their mental health and navigate the challenges they were facing at home. I want to thank all our donors for helping us load the bus to Lodestar! I’d also like to thank our incredible donor for their $30,000 match for this year’s Kamp. We can’t wait to host more deserving kids at our Kids Kamp in 2024.
This month, we will welcome a new intern cohort for our Training Program. Staff from many of our programs will welcome interns with diverse experience and educational backgrounds for what is set to be a year for transformation. For the next year, these interns will get real world clinical experience, training, and guidance from our staff in their journey to becoming mental health professionals. This highly sought-after program continues to grow, and we are truly grateful for the work, dedication, and inspiration our intern cohorts bring to the table every year.
Last but certainly not least, I would like to invite you to join me at StarVista’s 4th Annual Changing Lives fundraising event on Thursday, October 12 from 6-9pm at The Farallon Room at Skyline College. I am incredibly excited to celebrate StarVista and our progress as an organization with you. This year, our agency is embracing significant changes, positioning ourselves as pioneers for creating an ideal continuum of care model in San Mateo County. As we embark on this transformative journey, this year’s Changing Lives event invites you to be pioneers of hope, innovation, and progress, joining us as mental health advocates and leaders in shaping a caring and inspiring community that changes lives. I hope you see you there! RVSP here.
Warm regards,
