Cheers for Changing Lives 2024

An evening of celebration, camaraderie, and a heartfelt cheer to our amazing staff and the incredible donors who make it all possible!

Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating our collective impact in San Mateo County!

On Thursday, February 22,  StarVista supporters, staff, visionaries and friends gathered for an intimate, VIP experience at the incredible and innovative Skyway Center in San Carlos to celebrate the success of our annual fundraiser, Changing Lives, as well as to acknowledge everyone’s efforts throughout the year in helping us raise sustainable, unrestricted funds for StarVista.

StarVista Visionaries were invited to an exclusive pre-event private tour of San Carlos Skyway Center hosted by our CEO Dr. Sara Larios-Mitchell before Cheers for Changing Lives.

This unique opportunity provided attendees with an up close and personal tour to explore the state-of-the-art aviation facility and were given an opportunity to learn about the history of iconic female aviators.

The guests were treated to a homemade pasta dinner prepared by our very own Chief Development, Marketing & Technology Officer, Lea Berhane!

We also had dessert displays featuring a selection of chocolates and cookies. Thank you, Lea!

The 2-hour social event began with a brief, impactful, and gratitude-based program that began with welcome and announcements by CEO and Visionary Sara Larios-Mitchell, Chief Development Marketing and Technology Officer Lea Berhane, Development Manager Patricia Dalao, Board Chair Member and innovative Visionary Alina Llyod followed by a client story video and heartfelt message from Michael McBride, a previous Daybreak resident.

At the end of the program, we recognized three members of our Visionary community, honoring them for their commitment and support, and pioneering ideas to partner with us. After the program, guests were treated to a social hour.

We are privileged to collaborate with so many remarkable individuals who share our enthusiasm for empowering people, providing hope, and building stronger communities. Our community leaders and partners at our event included, Chief of San Mateo County Health Louise Rogers, Mayor of San Mateo Lisa Diaz Nash, Chief of Police of San Mateo Ed Barbarini, Director – Public Affairs at Kaiser Permanente, Stacey Wagner, Sobrato Family Foundation and many StarVista Board of Directors.

We look forward to working with you again and making the next StarVista annual fundraiser, Changing Lives 2024, a success!

Thank you for supporting StarVista!
