Randy’s Gift Drive Recap 2021

Randy’s Gift Drive, a StarVista holiday tradition, connects generosity to joy by delivering gifts to clients and their families throughout the holiday season.

StarVista’s gift drive honors our late coworker and friend, Durand “Randy” Clark Yano. Randy launched StarVista’s first ever Holiday Gift Drive over a decade ago, and it has grown to become a favorite tradition amongst staff and clients. Randy always made sure the donations kept coming and that all the volunteers had what they needed to make it happen.

This year, our Gift Drive team continued to pay special attention to the health and safety of our clients and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic. For their safety and well-being, we only collected monetary donations to purchase gift cards for clients this year. General funds towards this campaign offered versatility to our clients to fit their unique needs and meet them where they are.

With your support, we:

🎁 Received donations from over 35 individual donors

🎁 Purchased and distributed 117 gift cards to clients and their families

🎁 Offered 7 different types of gift cards to Target, Amazon, Walmart, Apple, more!

We are grateful to honor our late coworker and friend, Durand “Randy” Clark Yano, and his commitment to our organization’s mission and clients.

Thank you to our incredible donors for your continued support of StarVista and our programs. Your support allows us to help all ages and stages through life’s challenges. Thank you for your generosity and for providing joy to the most vulnerable members of our community.

Gift Cards were distributed in February 2022 to keep clients and staff safe during the Omicron COVID-19 variant spread.
