During the shelter-in-place orders placed on San Mateo County because of the COVID-19 pandemic, our Crisis Center volunteers still continued to come in and answer calls from our center and others handled hotline calls from their own homes.
In April, the number of calls to StarVista’s Crisis Center increased by 22%.
We value their continued support for the community and adapting to this challenging time. Even during an increase in call volume our volunteers were here to support our community.
