Changes to School-Based Services

Changes to School-Based Services

blog, News

We are incredibly excited to announce some changes in our School-Based programming!

Over the past few months, we have been working on restructuring and streamlining StarVista’s School-Based Services.
These five StarVista programs will fall under StarVista School-Based Services: Child and Family Resource Center (CFRC), The Children’s Place, School-Based Counseling Services, Strengthening Our Youth (SOY), and Youth Development Initiative (YDI).

One of the more notable shifts is that Children’s Place will be formally shifting departments and fold under School-Based Services. We have also decided to shift our Youth Development Initiative (YDI), a program at Sequoia Union High School, to School-Based Services. We are looking forward to working more closely with Sequoia Union High School!

We are eager to continue to foster a sense of cohesion between our school-based staff, particularly those placed at the same school-site or within the same district, to help provide a more holistic and collaborative approach.

Meet the School-Based Services Leadership Team:

Program Manager
Ana Paula Garay

Program Coordinators
Brendon Manno
Cailen Gerner

Daniela Baybay
Sarah Thomas

The team is excited to continue to support these programs, the incredible staff and interns, and the instrumental work that is done to support our community through in-person and remote services.

For more information about these changes, please contact Ana Paula Garay at anapaula.garay@star-vista.org.
