Dear Friends,
I hope this message finds you well and thriving.
Together, we continue to experience the uncertainties of the COVID-19 pandemic. Recently, there has been a significant rise of the Delta variant in San Mateo County. On August 3, San Mateo County Health Officer, Dr. Scott Morrow, issued a Public Health Order requiring all individuals to wear face masks in all indoor public settings, regardless of vaccination status. This includes venues, restaurants, conference centers, and workplaces.
I want to reaffirm that StarVista is committed to making the safety of StarVista’s staff, volunteers, and clients a priority. StarVista remains agile and adaptive in responding to our ever-changing environment. We have been able to keep our programs in operation throughout the pandemic, and our services continue to play a vital role in the community we serve.
We could not provide these services without our incredible staff, interns, volunteers, partners, supporters, and Board of Directors. As such, in honor of non-profits and your essential role, we are celebrating #NationalNonprofitDay starting August 16 with a week-long celebration on social media, highlighting the StarVista community. I invite you to connect with us on social media to join us as we celebrate our impact on San Mateo County. I also invite you to join me in celebrating StarVista’s 55 years of service to the San Mateo community at our Virtual Changing Lives event.
On behalf of everyone at StarVista, we are grateful for your support in helping our agency adapt to meet the needs of our clients.
Wishing you continued health and safety.
