StarVista Crisis Center’s Teen Crisis Services Hours Expansion

StarVista Crisis Center’s Teen Crisis Services Hours Expansion

blog, News

StarVista Crisis Center’s Teen Crisis Services has expanded its text and chat hours to support more youth, adolescents, and young adults in San Mateo County!

Our trained peer counselors are now available Monday to Friday from 4 pm to 10 pm to provide free, safe, and confidential support.

Now available Mondays to Fridays from 4 pm to 10 pm, youth and young adults (13+) can text (650) 747–6463 or visit www.sanmateocrisis.org to receive peer-based mental health support, crisis intervention, and resources.

Teen Chat and Teen Text Line
Peer-based crisis and emotional support over text and online chat.

The online teen chat and teen text line are free, peer-to-peer services that are accessible from sanmatecrisis.org or by texting 650-747-6463. Teens can chat confidentially with trained youth peer counselors under Crisis Center staff supervision about various topics. While mainly focused on crisis intervention and suicide prevention, teens can also talk about school stress, relationship issues, and mental health challenges. While the program is intended to focus on youth ages 13 and up, no youth will be turned away on the basis of age.
