Happy National Intern Day!
Here at StarVista, we provide professional training to psychology doctoral practicum and internship students as well as trainees and associates from each of the following disciplines: marriage and family therapy, professional clinical counseling, clinical social work, and alcohol and other drug counseling.
What sets StarVista’s Training Program apart is our welcoming culture and commitment to professional training. Our program provides opportunities to gain experience and exposure to a wide range of clinical and non-clinical populations and environments.
StarVista’s Training Program also provides numerous growth opportunities within the agency. Many of our program staff began as trainees or interns! This includes our management and upper management teams, such as our Professional Training Director, Melissa Guariglia, PsyD, our Department Director, Peter Ehrhorn, LMFT, and our CEO, Sara Larios Mitchell, Ph.D., MACP.
We’d like to give a special shout out to the 34 clinical interns in our 2019-2020 cohort! We are truly grateful for this group’s outstanding work, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Their ability to navigate the transitions and challenges associated with this pandemic is very inspiring.
We are looking forward to hosting a new group of trainees, interns, and associates and excitedly welcome our incoming 2020-2021 cohort!
